Module 4: Sinus Lifting & Ridge Splitting
Dental implant placement in the posterior maxillary region often requires sinus lifting. Sinus lifting is one of the most common clinical procedures performed in conjunction with dental implants.
Sinus lifting module will aim to teach techniques like simple crestal sinus lifting; which can easily be incorporated into clinicians’ daily practice and lateral sinus lifting technique for advanced clinicians. Hands-on training will be provided during this module. Participants will also be introduced to equipment and kits used for surgery like Piezo, Densah Burs, CAS Kit, ONECAS Kit and ESSEX Kit.

Lecturer
Dr. Jone Kim
DDS, MS (UCLA)
Dr. Jone Kim did his undergraduate study at UCLA and received his D.D.S. from UCLA School of Dentistry in 1994. He also received Master of Science (M.S.) in Oral Biology from UCLA Graduate School and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training from University Medical Center Fresno – UCLA in 1998. Dr. Kim then went on to do a fellowship in orthognathic and facial reconstructive surgery at The Center for Corrective Jaw Surgery in Santa Barbara, California. Currently, he is a lecturer and part-time faculty at UCLA Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. As a Diplomate and board certified surgeon by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Kim has frequently lectured at the Annual Conference of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He maintains a private practice in Southern California focusing implant surgery.
